mercedes-cls-street-car1.jpgThis car right here is my current fav car its so cool…it came from concept to production in just 6 months..the demand was dat great!!!…

when did was launched it was like nothing before no one knew what the hell was a 4Door coupe the definitoion of a coupe was a 2 seater with very low c pillar after this car the mercedes benz have changed the meaning of it…

and look what a trend it has created all the companies have want to jump into the bandwagon porsche is coming out with Panamera  BMW with its CS concept.
VW too wants to make a 4 door coupe ..

and ofcourse audi, toyota, honda american companies will all join the line…rightrear.jpg

THE INTERIORS

2005-brabus-rocket-interior-1024×768.jpg

Climbing into the cockpit might have been an letdown after the visual pleasure of the exterior, but there’s just more goodness inside. The CLS has probably the most inviting interior yet from Mercedes-Benz, looking like it was fashioned in the bespoke halls of its Maybach luxury line. All four seats are covered in leather. The front seats are 10-way power adjustable with three-position memory. The view forward is dominated by an expanse of burr walnut that stretches almost from pillar to pillar. Finished in a silk matt to differentiate it from the high-gloss finish of the usual Mercedes interior trim, its surface is broken by recessed center air vents, the control panel for the standard Thermotronic automatic four-zone climate control and the main instrument cluster, which, along with each dial, was given a chrome surround. The gauges themselves were covered by a special mineral glass for optimum readability.

The fit and finish is impeccable and looks custom-tailored down to the arrangement of the breaklines indicating the modular assembly of the dashboard. Note how the front passenger airbag door’s lines blend perfectly into the upward sweep of the walnut panel. Neat and elegant. Note how the center console carries the chrome and walnut design themes through to the rear compartment in the chrome rings surrounding the transmission shift lever and rear Thermotronic control/air vents and the walnut trim covering the rear console storage compartments. And note how the curve of the center rear console is reflected in the reverse curve of the outboard armrest.

If there’s one quibble, it must be with the rear seats, which become unfriendly to those who are much more than six feet tall because of the slope of the roof. As part of our familiarization with the CLS, we were chaffeured across Rome so that we might see how the rich and famous do it. Our six-foot frame felt no discomfort on the winding city streets and would have tolerated a long run to the Amalfi Coast if the opportunity arose. Outward sightlines were, of course, compromised by the shallow quarter windows, but if you’re pretending, as we did, that we were glitterati escaping a horde of paparazzi, this was a good thing.

THE ENGINE AND THE PLEASURE

ag_07cls550_engine.jpg

It would be easy to sum up the new Mercedes-Benz CLS as an excellent handler, quiet around town, its air suspension scoffing at whatever the road has in mind. We haven’t a problem summing up the driving experience in a few rosy cliches: works in the canyons as well as at the opera, or blends beauty and brawn like Angelina Jolie. That sort of stuff. But that would miss the point about owning a Mercedes. It would be blind to one of the many reasons they cost more than most other cars. And that is, the true beauty is in the details.

For instance, it wouldn’t do for unpleasant noises to disturb the high speeds at which the CLS is so comfortable. So you’ll find such touches as plastic elements in front of the front wheel arches to improve airflow across the front axle links, aerodynamic cladding on the rear axle spring links, and mini-spoilers in front of each wheel to reduce dynamic pressures at the tires and improve airflow around the wheels. Even the windshield wiper system received a dose of new technology. The dual-wiper arms were refined in the wind tunnel, are thus known as “aero wipers,” and feature a new mounting system and integrated spoiler for better wiping and less noise.

The ultimate in comfort, however, is knowing you’re likely to survive an accident in a new Mercedes-Benz. The technology offered in both passive and active safety systems is astounding in its complexity as well as in its application. The list goes on and on, but here goes: dual front airbags with multi-stage deployment; head protection curtains; roll-over sensor; front and rear side airbags; front seatbelts with pre-tensioners and seatbelt force limiters; electrohydraulic brake system with Brake Assist; Tele Aid emergency calling and communication system; low tire pressure warning system; Electronic Stability Program.

There are, arguably, two areas of driver/machine interface that could be sources of debate: brake feel and throttle sensitivity. Two systems that once relied on cables and levers and tubes of boiling fluid are now electronic agreements between sensors and servos, “optimizing” the driver’s flex of ankle and stomp of foot. Pedal feel, for both brakes and throttle, is now tempered by computer, and the “feedback” from these pedals is governed by algorithm, permitting this, forbidding that. This wonderful technology leads to such good things as better fuel mileage and shorter stopping distances, but it also takes some getting used to in order to drive the CLS as smoothly as it looks.

We tried to expose the seven-speed automatic as maybe having one too many gears just to show up the guys down the autobahn, but it behaved more than acceptably, even in full automatic mode. Being empowered to explore the envelope, we got cozy with the manual shift program and the steering wheel-mounted shift buttons. In this mode, the gear is held from the lowest acceptable rpm all the way to redline or during kickdown, and this is the most irresponsible and fun way to reach the car’s self-imposed limit of 250 km/h (just over 155 mph).

THE SandwichLook…thats a sandwich whis has a story to tell…

this is d sandwich which has been keeping my tummie filled as a midnight snack, have been eating food at night as sleep a lil late coz holidays are going on..

anyway

the way i invented this recipie is something like this..since i was sleeping late and i usually am done with my dinner at 8,i was feeling a lil hungry and i wanted to eat something(a mans gotta eat when a mans gotta eat) went to the kitchen, now obviously i dint know how to cook anythingelse but topramens(maggie) but i was bored of that and i am not a fan of packed food like lays and mixture and biscuits and nor do i like icecream which was in the freezer..i had to make somethineg(remember a mans gotta eat when a mans gotta eat)so i had a loaf of bread staring at me in the face n i decided to make a sandwich(wait it does not end here carry on..)i opened the fridge and found 3 sauces(pesto plain.pesto tomato.spaghette sauce)and jam…i would have had butter n jam but i dont like jam too!!(note to self:try liking every food, god knows when it would help u)so took out the pesto sauces and slammed it on the bread and guess what EURIKA!!! it tasted good(i’m thinking anything would have but…)

and now almost every night i have this sandwich and since i click anything and everything i clicked this “invention” of mine too n here it is(well it was up there at the start of the post if u dint know)…

just to make it interactive lets have a naming contest of this sandwich..n i want everybod who reads this post to give it a shot..

and the winners name would be the name of the sandwich.!!!!exciting no!!!

UPDATE :i just noticed d sandwich looks kinda like the national flag colour the saffron white and green(u just have to tilt it to normal position as this pic is vertical)(n it kinda looks like lots of snot in the green place, well its not its pesto)

must have heard abt the “kiss” between richard gere and shilpa shetty..when i heard that i was “ok..what am i supposed to do by knowing that” and i saw the news today and was amazed by whats happend on this topic, its all over the news channels..

there is some guy who put a case on richard for this “ACT”..whats wrong with our country..he dint go into a liplock or anything it was just a peck on the cheek(ok.a long peck on the cheek)and thousands of people object it..sure no one does it when it happens on screen..the bollywood itself have so many “smootching” scenes, remember “serial kisser”..u can ofcourse take action agains peopl who force kiss someone(miki and rakhi) but this is just hilarious!!!!!

i agree if someone is stuck in a deepkiss in a public place is a bit hard to digest for us and its gonna take some time for us to getting used to..

we call ourselfs d largest democracy..a dream of becoming one of the stronger nations..a nation which wants to reach where the developed countries are…to have so many cultures and allow more

its cases like these which makes india INDIA…dats what we are branded..he stole a spoon,oh he must be an indian….he dint tip,oh he must be an indian…n so many more

its things like these which make a good topic to laugh on for the world(think tonight show jay leno)..

and who did we take action against…a person who was paying so much to indian ngo’s to help people protect themselfs from aids ..(how dumb could it get)

and i learnt one more thing today..we have a law in which any person who sings an obscene song or uses obscene words NEAR or at any public place then can be imprisoned for upto 3 months and or fined…holy shit!! so most of the young crowd in india are criminals for singing eminem or 50cent songs..wait i have an i idea lets put a case against them to use the F word in their song..grow up!!!its not even narrowminded, hope there was something called nominded..thats what we are

all i can do is just to laugh on it that how people in this generation are making such a big issue abt it when nothing really happened…

just think abt it
take for instance coffee place..where did they orginat..in south india..u can still see those tea kadais even today in most of the towns and cities in south india..but what really caught on was starbucks which the ccd is imitating in india..starbucks once a chain became most popularly know..it was a whole”new”concept which the people seemed to be liking…

the next in line

steve jobs who actually started his company after returning to us after a long trip from india where he was in the mountains(i’m guessing he was in manali, but hey he may have gone to a guru)to attain peace(peace out!)and look at him now at most important position in apple(yeah, they are known for the ipod)he earns billions though his official salary is 1$(looks like there is corruption there too, getting away from income tax people eh jobs)…

who could for get aryabhatta he is the one who invented the number zero(wish he dint..i would like seeing 1 than 0 in my papers)

one more fact which i wish dint exist that algebra,trig-OH NO-mentry(notich OH NO) and calcus are from india(they gave me a bad time in my boards)

i am sure most of u dint know this:snakes and laders was invented in india..how cool is that..that was my fav game when i was a small kid…

The 1st university every was in india…

Bhaskaracharya rightly calculated the time taken by the earth to orbit the sun hundreds of years before the astronomer Smart. His calculations was – Time taken by earth to orbit the sun: ( 5th century ) 365.258756484 days.(this one,had to look up on the net)

what i noticed is we have done so many things before anyone else has and still we dont get the proper recognition which we deserve(er..india deserves)

i guess we are great thinkers we can come out with many different ideas but cannot promoted the idea for a wide spread use or to gain importance or have importance..

if u notice all the facts above u would see that they became when it went to other countries like chess and snakes and ladders bacame popular when it was used by the persians and chines…coffee places became popular there and then came back to us.

only thing i could conclude with is that we get ideas but cant promote them its upto other big countries like usa and uk to do all this stuff…sad..just like this blog post,it says something but does not say it with a punch…

(NOTE to self:do not use boring jokes in brackets every again)

You realised this topic must be the most talked abt topic for us indians…it bloody affects everyone from small children to the whole environment..

have u seen the city roads its a jam most of the time…u should see the signals, ppl hardly follow anyrules once the lights turn green it becomes like the start of a F1 race, everyones trying to come in the front even if they know they dont have a chance they still do it..

and whats all that thing with painting out lanes on the roads, does anyone follow lane discipline guess the lane depature warning system is useless for us then…u should see the users with their vehicles driving like nuts, they try to get into every little gaps they can..

the main reason is driving licence..when the driving licence is given to a person he must be tested for everything like lane discipline, proper use of the car safety features etc etc…but then come to think of it,all other users are gonna make few good men into just others users..culprit road rage, good drivers will get soo irritated that they would get back at them in the same way after a certain point of time..

the golden quadrilateral, the majore work for india, the 4 laning to connect the 4 major metros…b4 it was like cool 4 lanes now(better than on huge lane) i guess in the next 5 yrs those are gonna be blocked too..what they do is they make this really awsome plan and it takes them a decade or something to start the work and a couple of more decades to complete the work when we have like a billion more cars on the road…

all the big wigs of the automobile industry should actually have their R&D center here in india, this is the place where they would get all the secenarios they could not have thought over thereindian-traffic-jam.jpg

bmw has tis driving school in other countries which we really could use..think about it if we had good drivers, who know what they have to do then we may avoid the jam and atleast have a slow movie traffic(dont tell me whats the use..what would u prefere staying at one point for 15 mins or keep moving??i think the 2nd one)..

we got one more unique problem…cattels &cows some places elephants and camels too they are on the road as if they own it they sleep on,on the fast lane(its the extreem right if u dint know)… it creates a bottle neck, makes the road more narrower.0789208695interior02.jpg.

was driving from chennai to bangalore d other day, there were cars and bikes and rikshaws coming right at us from the fast lane..dont they get it there is a road to go that direction after the 10ffeet gap i’m sure they would be able to see it unless they are blin, its not like the olden days where we had one lane to go both d directions..

roads_and_highways.jpgthats called a good lane system…

i have noticed,on roads the extreem right lane is supposed to be the fastest but india its not the extreem left is..

ppl should bloody follow that different lanes may be for different types of vehicles or different speeds!!

no matter how much the indian govt spend on the roads we all know where the moneys landing..

hell!! i hope there will be a change soon or else we are going nowhere…
